Last year 2018 (December 5-7th), I was privileged and luckily selected to attend the notable Climate change workshop in India to present my preliminary research findings on the application of rainwater harvesting technologies in the adaptation to drought in Uganda.

The workshop was organized by The TWAS Central & South Asia Regional Partner in association with Divecha Centre for Climate Change (DCCC), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Some of the remarkable conference and side activities included:

  • Insightful presentations
  • Poster presentations
  • Climate modeling
  • Group dinner

Lessons learned

  • Promote Science Diplomacy
  • Developing country oriented
  • Collaborations are a lodestone to future climate opportunities
  • The multi-national diversity of the TWAS network
